HOW DOES IT WORK?
To remedy unappealing spider veins, we employ laser therapy, typically following varicose vein treatment. However, it's crucial to resolve any underlying venous reflux disease before addressing spider veins; otherwise, there is a higher risk of the spider veins resurfacing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
If you have small spider veins, you may notice an immediate improvement after treatment. However, larger spider veins and varicose veins will darken, and it can take between 1 to 3 months before they completely disappear. Several treatments, typically three or more, may be necessary to achieve complete clearing.
After treatment, most patients can go back to their normal routine, including work, the next day. However, some may need to wear compression stockings for a short period.
It's crucial to protect the treated area from the sun for about 3 to 4 weeks to prevent dark spots from forming. Protecting your skin from the sun throughout the year is essential to avoid new spider veins and skin cancer.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS? WHAT ABOUT DOWNTIME?
Laser treatment is considered a low-risk procedure, enabling many patients to resume their daily activities immediately following the treatment. However, it is crucial to avoid activities like exercise and hot baths for a few days post-treatment. Patients should be aware that side effects such as skin redness or blistering may occur, along with some swelling or bruising at the treatment site.
Additionally, the procedure may result in discoloration, which varies depending on complexion and skin color. For individuals with underlying medical conditions like diabetes, laser treatment is not typically recommended.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE!
To ensure optimal results, it is recommended that you refrain from engaging in any intense aerobic activities, such as running, hiking, or aerobic exercises, for approximately 72 hours after treatment. Additionally, it is best to avoid direct sun exposure for at least a week.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Most people see improvements after one treatment but others may need up to three treatments on the same area of the leg. The number of treatments you'll need relies on your body's response to the treatment and the size of the area being treated. To allow the body to fully experience the benefits, treatments are typically spaced out by eight weeks.
HOW MUCH DO THE TREATMENTS COSTS?
Treatments are $225.00 per session - ask about our specials when you bundle services together.
